Mícheál Ó Gruagáin

Senior Product Manager – Head of eCommerce Product, AIB Merchant Services

As Senior Product Manager and Head of the E-commerce Product with AIBMS, Mícheál has overseen the Ecommerce transformation within AIB Merchant Services over the last decade.

With a background in Agency, Client and Provider standpoints spanning 19 years, Mícheál has seen Ecommerce from all sides. Leveraging opportunities in electronic trading as well as being a recognized voice in E-commerce trading associations like The Irish Internet Association, The E-commerce Association of Ireland, Retail Excellence Ireland and Digital Business Ireland, Mícheál has been a keen advocate for the native E-commerce trading community in Ireland.

Miya Knights

Author, Consultant and Retail Technology Magazine Publisher

Miya Knights has over 25 years’ experience as a retail technology analyst, editor, author and consultant. She is the owner and publisher of Retail Technology magazine and has co-authored two best-selling books about Amazon and Omnichannel Retail. Miya is a GigaOm analyst, serves as a consultant and advisor to a number of technology companies, judges a number of industry awards, and is also a member of the Retail Influencer Network, Customer Strategy Network and the KPMG Retail Think Tank.

Miya regularly appears as a retail technology expert on news and current affairs television programmes, and is quoted in the press, as well as moderating or speaking at industry events. She was also recognised as 2021 Arts & Media Senior Leader by the Black British Business Awards, and has been named one of top retail influencers in 2023 by RETHINK Retail and the Retail Technology Innovation Hub.

Dean McElwee

Director, Global eCommerce Collaboration, Stanley Black & Decker

Dean McElwee is the Director for Global eCommerce Collaboration. His remit covers Retail eCommerce both omnichannel and marketplaces, B2B eCommerce and Direct Consumer. As an experienced commercial leader, Dean has a proven track record of designing and implementing innovative growth strategies that not only drive performance but also higher engagement and profit.

He has successfully led business initiatives across Sales Leadership, Retail Consulting and eCommerce. His experience of having worked both in Africa and Europe and across multiple regions gives him a unique insight into working with countries in various stages of business development.

Katey McElroy

Strategic Partnership Manager, TikTok

TikTok’s SMB Strategic Partnership Manager, Katey McElroy, is part of the small business engagement team working in the UK and Irish markets to educate and inspire businesses of all sizes to grow with TikTok,  focused on onboarding and supporting new businesses as they embark on their TikTok for Business journey.

Vinny O’Brien

Consultant & Director, Vinny & Co

Vinny has almost 20 years experience across 4 continents and most verticals. He is comfortable mentoring start ups in SaaS and eComm or sat at the board room table with brands such as PepsiCo. During this time he has been an academic lecturer in Dublin City University and provided professional training privately and in partnership with accredited bodies such as the Irish Marketing Institute.

He holds a few directors roles, most recently as CTO in Tranquillity and Director of Group Strategy in TRC Solutions. He has run his own ecommerce conference and hosts a private online speak easy for after works drinks once a month.

Raine Peake

Digital Director

A highly experienced Strategic leader with an Innovative and Entrepreneurial approach, over twenty years experience in Ecommerce and Bricks and Mortar. Worked for most recently Jigsaw as the Digital Director leading the team to deliver record breaking Revenue and Customers with Innovation and Technological solutions at the core of the Transformation Strategy.

Focuses on blending the art and science with Data, which has been honed over various roles including Digital Director at Mint Velvet, Customer Director at Arcadia and Head of Merchandising and Visual Merchandising at Farfetch.

Ross Hompstead is an experienced leader, currently serving as the Site Lead for the ASOS NI Tech Hub.With a deep passion for empowering individuals and fostering a culture of inclusivity and diversity, Ross has successfully created an environment where every person feels valued, inspired, and supported to reach their full potential.

His leadership skills have earned the admiration of peers and colleagues, as he consistently prioritises the well-being and development of his team.Ross’s dedication and unwavering commitment make him an influential figure, driving positive change and growth not only within his organisation but also within the broader NI tech community.

Steven Irwin

Chief Digital Officer, Hunter Boots

Well rounded data driven, commercial leader, with more than 15 year’s experience in retail across DTC and Wholesale, with expertise in technology, data & analytics, highly targeted marketing strategies and consumer focused strategies.Working at senior management/board level in the retail sector for brands such as ASICS, Wolverine Worldwide (Saucony, Merrell, Caterpillar), Tiger of Sweden and currently working as Chief Digital Officer at Hunter Boots.

Having worked across global customer accounts such as Footlocker, JD Group, Nordstrom, Zalando and Amazon. With a strong track record on delivering digital transformation strategies enabling brand growth through improved data management, system efficiencies and cost savings, often combining digital transformation principles to achieve top line growth as well as EBITDA improvements. Proven success in leadership positions managing and motivating large teams, delivering operational excellence whilst delivering on business KPI’s with full P&L management across global markets and multiple channels.

Jacqueline Smith-Dubendorfer

Senior Digital Leader & C Suite Executive

Not forgetting, that it’s also important to have fun a long the way!

She has set up and scaled eCommerce channels for growth, evaluated and repositioned businesses to accelerate, and built and led consumer experience functions to deliver industry leading digital experiences.

Alan Fawbert

Head of Digital Commerce, Britvic

Alan leads the Digital Commerce function at Britvic across all consumer and trade facing channels. After over 10 years leading Digital Commerce teams in Tesco and PepsiCo is now responsible for delivering market leading executions for brands such as Pepsi, Robinsons, Mi Wadi, Tango, 7UP and Britvic Tonics. Alan also oversees 2 platforms that support independent Licensed and Convenience outlets with the latest category information and toolkits.

  • Check Your Eligibility & Criteria
    With 24 categories to enter, there are so many awards to get involved with! Make sure to check entry eligibility and criteria before submitting your entry. Don’t forget, all categories are free to enter and you can enter as many as you’d like.

    Avoid Jargon
    While our judging panel is made up of eCommerce experts, all types of organisations are encouraged to enter our awards and therefore could be inclined to use wording, phrases or acronyms that are not necessarily common terms.

    Include Details & Statistics
    Stats, quotes and percentages are great tools to back up the points in your story. If you can demonstrate measurable success, the judges will see this as proof of success which boosts the credibility of your claims. The more detail you include, the better!

    Upload Supporting Evidence
    Our awards portal allows for supporting evidence to be uploaded. This can be imagery, testimonials, screen grabs, charts or graphs etc – these uploads will not be marked as part of your entry, but use the opportunity to support your submission.
